Role:
As an Application Specialist Linux & Windows, you ensure that business-critical on-premises applications run stably. Your environment is diverse, ranging from Windows to Linux to Kubernetes. You move between operation, support and further development and actively contribute your ideas. A new service area is currently being created, and you will help shape it from the start.
Responsibilities:
You monitor ongoing application operations and integrate specialised applications into existing system landscapes
In 2nd and 3rd level support, you analyse faults and keep an eye on monitoring
Furthermore, you develop workaround solutions within problem management
You participate in releases, including change, deployment and test management as well as thorough documentation
You are responsible for lifecycle and interface management and accompany further development
You also coordinate closely with internal specialist departments and external partners
Qualifications:
You have a university degree in computer science or business informatics
Several years of experience in operating and managing on-premises applications distinguish you, whether standard, industry-specific or custom software
You are familiar with agile working methods in complex IT organisations
You have already built and maintained demanding services and interfaces
You approach your topics in a structured, service-oriented and independent manner, and you convince through communication and coordination
You are also willing to occasionally take on on-call duties
