Responsibilities:
You develop sourcing strategies and open up suitable international procurement markets.
You independently conduct price and contract negotiations with manufacturers and suppliers.
You review the performance of existing suppliers based on costs, quality, and delivery reliability.
Through forward-looking demand planning, you ensure product availability with economical stock levels.
You analyse product costs, inventory figures, and procurement risks and derive optimisations.
You evaluate new manufacturers and distribution brands in terms of profitability and product range extension.
For product launches, you coordinate procurement and liaise with sales and management.
International supplier visits as well as optimisation of transport costs and purchasing processes are part of your responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Commercial apprenticeship with further training or solid professional experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in the international consumer goods business.
Sound knowledge of negotiation and supplier management.
Experience in demand planning, inventory optimisation, or product cost analysis.
Analytical thinking and confident handling of business management key figures.
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
Willingness to undertake regular international business trips.
Very good German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
