The Centre for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Inpatient is part of the Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the PDAG (Clinic Director Prof. Dr med Marc Walter). It is responsible for modern acute psychiatric treatment of people between 18 and 64 years, which includes biological, psychotherapeutic and social medical interventions and is based on Open-Doors and No-Restraint concepts. The centre is jointly led by Dr med Maxim Zavorotnyy and Simone Meister, Head of Nursing, and comprises five wards. There is close networking with Interventional Psychiatry. For doctors, the centre is an SIWF-recognised training centre for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Category A inpatient (3 years) and for Interventional Psychiatry (rTMS and ECT).

Profile

• Completed EX-IN training
• Own psychosis experience
• Ability for professional reflection on own experience
• Teamwork skills and willingness for interprofessional collaboration
• Resilience in dealing with acute psychiatric crisis situations
• Willingness for continuous further training
• Professional experience in a psychiatric context is desirable

Tasks

• Collaboration in the multiprofessional treatment team of the acute ward
• Bringing the peer perspective into case discussions, treatment planning and reflection processes
• Conducting individual conversations with patients on a voluntary basis
• Participation in recovery-oriented group offers
• Supporting patients in acute crisis situations through hope, perspective provision and experiential knowledge
• Promoting self-determination, participation and personal responsibility in the treatment process
• Contributing to the further development of peer work within the PDAG
• Networking with external recovery-oriented offers and self-help organisations
• Participation in internal ward projects for quality development
