To drive our continuous organic growth, we are constantly seeking highly qualified professionals. To strengthen our team in Technical Operations, we are looking for a dedicated Chemist Optimisation and Troubleshooting Laboratory Peptide Active Ingredients (a) 100%
Your Responsibilities
- Establishment and commissioning of an optimisation and troubleshooting laboratory with future leadership of a team of chemical laboratory technicians
- Independent execution and evaluation of experimental investigations at laboratory scale to optimise key process steps and technologies, including via Real Time Analytics (RTA)
- SPPS-related process optimisation and execution of manual SPPS syntheses
- Planning, execution, and optimisation of peptide resin cleavages
- Optimisation of work-up and isolation processes
- Conducting sample purifications and deviation investigations (technical and chemical troubleshooting)
- Production, characterisation, and evaluation of reference materials including elucidation of relevant impurities
- Close collaboration with production to sustainably stabilise processes and increase efficiency of manufacturing processes
- Structured documentation of work and derivation of actionable measures for production operations
Your Profile
- PhD in Chemistry (ideally organic chemistry) or at least 3 years of professional experience in the chemical/pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge and practical experience in peptide chemistry
- Hands-on mentality, independent and structured working style in a laboratory environment
- Ability to independently structure complex issues, derive measures, and act as a technical contact in TechOps
- Strong problem-solving skills in a GMP-related environment
- Excellent understanding of chemical processes as well as analytical-conceptual thinking
- Team-oriented, reliable, and responsible working style with high interface competence
- Strong quality and safety awareness
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
- Advantageous: knowledge in calorimetry, spectroscopy, and chemometrics
