mexem SA is involved in the site management of a major industrial project currently under construction in Bulle.
To strengthen its envelope team on this project, mexem SA is looking for a Senior Site Manager to oversee the execution of the works and supervise the dedicated site team.
In close collaboration with the Envelope Works Manager, who is responsible for the development and general direction of the project, you are the reference for operational execution and daily coordination of the works.
Your mission
You ensure the proper completion of the envelope works, from preparation of execution to handovers, respecting quality, cost, and deadline requirements.
Your main responsibilities
- Manage the execution of envelope works on several buildings.
- Supervise the site team, allocate responsibilities, and set priorities.
- Translate project directions into methods, sequences, and execution decisions.
- Coordinate interfaces with structures, main construction, technical installations, interior fittings, and other trades.
- Manage companies involved in façades, waterproofing, and insulation.
- Monitor progress, costs, changes, risks, and additional works within your scope.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, SIA standards, AEAI prescriptions, and best practices.
- Oversee inspections, non-conformities, corrective measures, handovers, and resolution of reservations.
- Lead operational meetings and provide regular reporting to the Envelope Works Manager and project management.
Your profile
- Higher education in construction: HES/EPF engineer, architect, ES technician, diploma or master’s in an envelope trade, or equivalent training.
- Proven experience in site management or construction supervision, with significant expertise in building envelopes.
- Recent operational experience on a complex project carried out in Switzerland.
- Practical and current knowledge of standards and prescriptions applicable to envelopes, building physics, and fire protection.
- Ability to analyse construction details, identify critical interfaces, and propose feasible solutions.
- Experience in supervising site managers or construction teams.
- Field leadership, sense of responsibility, organisation, and decision-making ability.
- Excellent command of French.
