Academic HES Assistant in Applied Mechanics and Design
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attached to the Industrial Technologies department (TIN), you will be responsible within the Institute of Mechanical Design and Materials Technology (COMATEC) for the following tasks:
- You participate in teaching tasks of the department: assisting with course preparation, supervising and preparing practical work (Courses in Vibrational Mechanics, Machine Behaviour, CAD, etc.).
- You participate in applied research and development (R&D) work at the COMATEC institute (structure and machine dynamics, optimisation of machine control, mechanical design).
- You participate in administrative management and any other activities necessary for the smooth running of the department and the research entity.
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a university of applied sciences or an equivalent qualification.
- Interest in the fields of Dynamics, signal processing and machine control, mechanical design and machining.
- Good knowledge of Applied Mechanics, Mechanical Design, Signal Processing, Matlab or Python; Real-time systems and Machine Control (CNC), C/C++ languages are a plus.
- Good communication skills, organisational sense.
- Autonomy, structured work and good analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of English, in addition to fluency in French. German is an asset.
Work rate : 80%
