The Centre for Depression, Anxiety Disorders and Psychotherapy (Chief Physician and Centre Director Prof. Dr. med. Sebastian Olbrich) offers an extensive inpatient, outpatient and day clinic therapy programme and comprehensive diagnostic assessment options for people with affective disorders and other mental illnesses. As a university centre, we also develop new therapeutic approaches such as the use of psychedelic-assisted therapy or transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to continuously advance the treatment of people with complex disorders.
From August/September 2026 we are looking for an Assistant Physician for our psychotherapeutically oriented day clinic Lenggstrasse focusing on the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders at the Lenggstrasse location.

Your Tasks
- Psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment of patients, especially with affective disorders and anxiety disorders, case management in the day clinic setting (partly also outpatient treatments)
- Psychotherapeutic individual and group therapies
- Continuation, quality assurance and expansion of the day clinic services
- Conducting preliminary interviews and developing assessments as part of programme evaluation
- Individual therapy planning and therapies, including documentation and reports
- Possibly supporting research projects in patient recruitment, implementation, and data collection
- Work with patients is carried out under supervision or in collaboration with the senior physician and the lead psychologist as well as the responsible assistant physicians and psychologists.
Your Profile
- Medical licence; mandatory requirements: possession of the Swiss professional recognition MEBEKO = 1. Recognised diploma (no registration) & 2. MEBEKO German entry, to be submitted with the application
- Interest in further training to become a specialist FMH in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
- Started or completed training in psychotherapy
- Team and communication skills
- Patient orientation and openness to innovative treatment concepts
- Clinical experience as well as experience with psychotherapeutic treatments
- Research background is an advantage
