Tasks

• You are the nursing contact person responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing process, involving the social environment and the internal and external network.
• You shape everyday life together with the residents in a family-like setting – from cooking and eating together, housekeeping to actively shaping leisure time.
• You actively and enthusiastically contribute to the further development of the nursing services in your residential group by bringing in yourself and your ideas and helping to shape the broad scope for action.
• You support the Dementia Specialist in accompanying the team in challenging situations, work closely with the professional network and actively engage in the further development and implementation of our dementia concept.
• You support learners and students from various health and social care training programmes in developing their skills.

Profile

• Passion for the concept of nursing groups and for helping to create a pleasant home for the residents
• Interest in the field of dementia and willingness to take on a corresponding specialist role in the medium term
• Training as a qualified nursing specialist HF/FH with SRK recognition for diplomas from abroad as well as additional training in the field of dementia or willingness to undertake such training
• Resilience and enjoyment in taking responsibility and using the scope of action of an independent residential group
• Willingness to share your expertise, strong leadership skills and enjoyment in active participation

The annual salary for this position ranges from CHF 85,228 to CHF 113,882 (100%) depending on experience.

The Health Centres for the Elderly of the City of Zurich are one of the largest geriatric institutions in Switzerland. We are the leading service provider in the field of elderly care – with competence, heart and a comprehensive range of services from a single source.

The decentralised nursing groups of the Health Centres offer space for groups of between 8 and 22 people with dementia or age-related psychiatric illnesses. In a family atmosphere, comprehensive care and support are offered. The focus is on individual, everyday and needs-oriented support for residents and their relatives.
