About the job

The Alte Kaserne cultural centre offers space for around 1,700 different events annually. Private occasions such as weddings and birthday parties or seminars, conferences and congresses with up to 250 participants are held at the Alte Kaserne. The bistro, with around 40 seats, is part of the operation and offers a vegetarian menu at lunchtime and various snacks in the evening. As maternity cover, we are looking for a strong leadership personality for our gastro team from 1 December 2026 to 31 August 2027.

Your Tasks

Co-management of the gastronomy at Alte Kaserne with a focus on bistro management
Active participation in the bistro
Management of the banquet and restaurant equipment storage
Supervision of two apprentice cooks (together with the banquet chef and trainer)
Personnel management and deployment planning
Various tasks in the cultural operation

Your Profile

Training in the gastronomy/hotel sector
Several years of leadership experience in a gastro operation
Reliable and team-oriented personality with high social competence and sense of responsibility
Friendly and confident demeanour
Independent and organised working – also in the administrative area
Interest in working in a lively cultural and seminar operation
Willingness to work evenings and weekends and also irregular hours
