About the job
For over 60 years, we have been committed to International Organisations by providing them with ideal administrative and conference spaces. As a concrete and active expression of the host state policy of the Swiss Confederation and the Canton of Geneva, the Foundation for Buildings for International Organisations (FIPOI) offers a range of services designed to facilitate the establishment and activities of international organisations settling in Geneva. To design, manage and maintain these spaces in accordance with the highest quality standards we set ourselves, we rely on the skills and commitment of a high-performing team of around sixty collaborators.
The FIPOI Real Estate Service maintains and develops the buildings made available to international organisations in Geneva. The Foundation is now entering an important investment phase to renovate its portfolio and adapt it to the needs of its users.
As part of a new position creation, we are looking for:
A PMO Manager - Real Estate Projects at 100%
Your mission
Based near the Place des Nations, reporting to the Real Estate Service and supporting the Head of the Projects sector, you structure and monitor the Foundation’s investment project portfolio. You work in direct contact with project managers and FIPOI beneficiaries.
Your responsibilities
- Participate in the programming and prioritisation of operations, in the short and medium term.
- Ensure the technical and financial monitoring of the portfolio: costs, deadlines, risks, public procurement and reporting.
- Develop, harmonise and deploy common management methods, tools and processes.
- Support project managers daily and help evolve the project culture within the service.
- Lead projects of small to medium scale yourself: coordinating contractors, companies and stakeholders, from studies to commissioning, respecting the legal framework and set objectives.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (technical, administrative or legal).
- At least 5 years’ experience as a PMO, project manager, project purchaser or project coordinator in building, real estate or construction.
- Good understanding of building project processes, public procurement and contract monitoring.
- Assets: knowledge of Geneva institutions, building permits and the Swiss construction environment (SIA standards, CFC, public procurement), experience in coordinating multidisciplinary mandates and renovation operations.
- Comfortable with numbers and data analysis.
- Organised, precise and autonomous, you enjoy collaborating with a variety of interlocutors and have strong writing skills.
- Fluent in French; English is an advantage.
Why join us?
Joining FIPOI means becoming part of an organisation at the heart of international Geneva, carrying a public interest mission and operating in a stimulating multicultural environment.

It offers attractive working conditions, a stable and demanding professional environment, as well as the opportunity to be part of a long-term project serving international organisations established in Geneva.
