This is what you will achieve.
- Your main task as a cable civil engineering technician is the independent planning, installation and supervision of cable routes and cable ducts, as well as carrying out cable pulls for all railway technology cables
- You independently carry out repairs on manhole covers and renovation work on cable ducts, as well as fault rectifications on cable infrastructures and ensure their proper functioning. You prepare work plans, report on completed work and record working hours and expenses
- Furthermore, you operate instructed machines, devices and tools, provide corresponding instructions and work as a safety officer to ensure professional and safe execution of tasks.
- As a technician, you prepare work sites and provide materials for the assigned tasks or construction sites, where you also ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- You take on the professional leadership of employees and third parties at the various work sites.
- The role may also include night shifts and weekend work as well as special deployments in case of faults and winter service.

- Your high sense of responsibility and safety awareness enable you to integrate well and thoroughly into your new role within the SBB environment. You enjoy working outdoors in all seasons.
- Increased resilience, both physically and mentally.
- A vocational qualification (EFZ) as a landscape gardener or bricklayer/road builder is required. Additionally, you are willing to complete the foreman school.
- To perform the role, successful completion of internal training as a safety officer (and if necessary as a safety guard) is required. Night shifts or occasional weekend shifts (not regularly), fault cases and winter service are compensated separately with allowances in time and money.
- Your place of residence is near your workplace.
- You hold a category B driving licence (experience with manual transmission and category BE is an advantage). Your German language skills are at least at level A2.
