Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a skilled craftsman as a service technician for windows and doors for varied service, repair and maintenance assignments with private and business customers. You will independently take on fault rectification, maintenance and functional checks of windows, lift-and-slide doors and fittings and carry out assembly and glass work as required. The role combines technical craftsmanship in window and interior construction with independent service assignments and direct customer contact. You will work with modern fitting and window systems and professionally document the work performed.
Responsibilities:
Independent execution of service, repair and maintenance work on windows and doors
Diagnosis and rectification of functional faults, leaks and mechanical defects
Maintenance, adjustment and repair of lift-and-slide doors, window fittings, locking mechanisms and seals
Assembly and replacement of fittings, handles, seals and other accessories
Carrying out glass replacements as well as minor repairs and adjustments
Performing quality, functional and safety checks after completed work
Support with the assembly and commissioning of new window and door systems
Reading and applying technical drawings, assembly plans and manufacturer documents
Proper use of hand and power tools as well as assembly and measuring equipment
Advising customers on operation, care and maintenance of window and door systems
Preparation of service reports and documentation of material consumption, defects and completed work
Compliance with applicable occupational safety, PPE and assembly regulations
Qualifications:
Completed vocational training as carpenter EFZ, joiner EFZ or comparable training in window construction or wood technology
Professional experience in window installation, service, maintenance or repair of window and door systems
Good knowledge of window fittings, lift-and-slide doors, glazing and assembly techniques
Ability to confidently read technical drawings and assembly documents
Confident handling of hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments
Knowledge of relevant occupational safety and PPE regulations
Good German language skills and driving licence category B for service assignments
