For the hospital pharmacy, Uster Hospital is seeking from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement a committed all-rounder who enjoys contributing both in hospital pharmacy and at the patient counter for outpatient and discharged inpatient patients.

Exciting challenges await you

• Managing the patient counter within the hospital pharmacy, a central role in ensuring medication safety at the interface between inpatient and outpatient care:

  • Prescription validation

  • Advising discharged patients and outpatients on the use of their medicines
  • Prescriptions only, no OTC. Rather short patient contacts, high frequency, grateful clientele.
• Handling enquiries about medicines
• Creating guidelines for the use of medicinal products
• Developing and delivering training measures for hospital staff such as nurses, doctors, and hospital pharmacy employees on pharmaceutical topics
• Contributing to the further development and updating of the quality management system
• Participating in projects and the further development of hospital pharmacy
• Assisting with logistical daily operations as needed

What distinguishes you for the job

• Completed pharmacy degree and professional practice licence
• Ideally several years of professional experience in hospital pharmacy
• Communication skills, social competence, and sense of responsibility
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
• High resilience and independence
• Solid user knowledge of MS Office programmes
