Head of Department Landscape and Water 90 – 100%
Exciting tasks await:
- Leadership with impact: You lead the Department of Landscape and Water professionally, personally and financially. You steer the strategic direction, ensure compliance with task and financial plans and bear responsibility for the promotion of 62 employees.
- Sustainable overall responsibility: You are responsible for water management including flood protection and revitalisation, biotope and species protection as well as the ecological enhancement and networking of the landscape (ecological infrastructure).
- Coordination and networking: You chair steering committees (Neobiota, Labiola), ensure regular sustainability reporting and actively represent the BVU vis-à-vis the federal government, cantons, municipalities and national expert committees.
- Member of the BVU management team: You contribute your topics at a strategic level.
What you bring:
- University degree in environmental/engineering/climate sciences, biology or geography with proven professional experience
- Additional training in business administration, spatial planning, stakeholder or risk management is an advantage
- Several years of leadership and organisational experience as well as project management experience
- Experience in communications and adeptness in the "politics and administration" environment
- Negotiation skills, networked thinking and strong conceptual ability
