In this role, you will support the translation of our data and analytics strategy into concrete initiatives that create measurable value for the company. As an important member of the Data Ecosystem & Analytics team, you will design and manage a portfolio of data, analytics, and AI projects, ensure alignment with business priorities, and actively drive selected initiatives together with cross-functional teams. This is a unique opportunity to work at the interface of business, data, and technology while having direct contact with key stakeholders across the company.
Tasks you will enjoy
- Managing a portfolio of data, analytics, and AI projects, including defining project goals, scope, and timelines.
- Collaborating with stakeholders from all business areas, IT, and data teams to prioritise projects based on business value, feasibility, and strategic relevance.
- Creating project plans, resource planning, and monitoring project execution. Tracking progress, identifying risks, and initiating appropriate countermeasures.
- Assuming the role of Product Owner for selected analytics products and initiatives in agile project teams. Coordinating and aligning between business, IT, and data science participants.
- Developing or co-designing data, analytics, and AI demonstrators (prototypes, proof-of-value use cases) together with internal and external partners.
- Ensuring that data projects comply with best practices in data governance, data quality, and data security in collaboration with relevant experts and teams.
- Acting as an ambassador for Valora’s data and analytics strategy. Promoting agile working methods and the AI transformation within and beyond the team.
Requirements you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience; a master’s degree or project management certification is an advantage.
- Proven experience as a project and/or portfolio manager with at least three years of experience leading data, insights, or strategic projects.
- Solid understanding of advanced analytics, data management, artificial intelligence, and insight generation; experience in the retail environment is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with project management tools, agile methods, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills in a matrix organisation, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent German and English skills; Spanish skills are an advantage.
