Head of On-Site Advice and Intervention

Merging and Management: The two original specialist units "KIS on Site" and "Special Educational Support" are being merged into the new area "Advice and Intervention on Site". You are responsible for the personnel, professional and operational management of the Advice and Intervention on Site area. You lead, accompany and support the staff in their daily work.

Quality and Responsibility: You ensure high-quality special educational advice and intervention in difficult situations at the primary schools in Basel-Stadt. You are responsible for the coordination and further development of special educational services and processes.

Collaboration and Strategy: You work with schools, educational teams, teachers, specialist units, authorities and other interdisciplinary partners. You contribute to conceptual and strategic issues.

Experience: Further training or experience in leadership is an advantage. You have several years of professional experience in the school or special education environment.

Personality: You are characterised by strong social, communication and leadership skills. Your working style is independent, structured and solution-oriented.

Education: You have completed training in the educational or special educational field.

The Primary Schools area of the Department of Education Basel-Stadt covers the entire compulsory school period, from kindergarten through primary school to secondary school. It is responsible for school operations and school care services outside of teaching hours. The area advocates for an inclusive school where all children are accepted and supported according to their abilities.

For the new area "Advice and Intervention on Site" (formerly the Special Educational Support and KIS on Site specialist units), we are looking for a committed, strong leader with professional expertise. In this responsible role, you take on the personnel, professional and operational management of the area and make an important contribution to the implementation of the special educational mandate at the primary schools.
