Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Our partner is an owner-managed IT service company and has been successful for over 25 years with the full spectrum of IT solutions. Tailored to public administrations, energy suppliers and SMEs in the service sector, our partner employs around 100 staff and impresses with excellent industry and technology know-how.
Role:
You want to not only accompany IT security but actively shape it and are looking for a responsible role as a Cyber Security Engineer? In this position, you help shape security strategies, contribute your expertise purposefully and implement measures that sustainably protect systems and data. You analyse existing security architectures, identify risks and work on solutions that minimise attack surfaces. In addition, you help to anchor security topics throughout the environment and continuously develop them further.
Responsibilities:
You evaluate vulnerability reports, coordinate patching measures and liaise with third parties
You conduct threat hunting and penetration tests
You operate and further develop the SOC, including incident detection and response
You design, implement and optimise security architectures
You create and maintain security policies, standards and process documentation
Additionally, you support audits, security assessments and architectural decisions
Qualifications:
You have an MSc in Computer Science, IT Security, Cyber Security or a comparable qualification
You bring 5 to 7 years of experience in IT and cyber security
You are very familiar with network, Windows, Linux and cloud security
You have experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR and incident response environments
Certifications such as Security+, CySA+ or CEH are advantageous
You think analytically, act proactively and convince with communication skills and teamwork
