The Altra Foundation is one of the leading organisations for people with disabilities in the canton of Schaffhausen. For over 60 years, we have been committed to self-determined participation of people with various forms of disabilities, combining social responsibility with entrepreneurial thinking. Around 680 employees are dedicated daily to effective inclusion in diverse areas of life and work. An increasing part of our work is in the demanding field of mental illnesses and complex support needs.
From 01.10.2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a strong personality who, with passion and strategic foresight, will further develop our agogic orientation and make it effective organisation-wide as
- Overall responsibility for the agogic orientation of Altra
- Further development and implementation of attitudes, concepts and standards according to the UN CRPD
- Initiator for innovation and professional development
- Active participation in the strategic development of the foundation
- Linking agogics, economic efficiency and organisation
- Professional and personnel leadership of the Agogics department
- Ensuring orientation and stability in challenging situations
- University degree or equivalent training in the agogic, social or social psychiatric field
- Several years of leadership experience with strategic responsibility
- Ability to combine professional quality with economic and organisational management
- Clear stance, high capacity for reflection and assertiveness
- Solid experience and confidence in dealing with mental illnesses and complex settings
- Enjoyment in collaborating with clients (canton, IV etc.) and networking with specialist agencies and institutions
- Direct influence on strategy, culture and organisation as an executive board member
- Great scope for shaping in a key role
