What you will do
- Care and service of our international seminar and hotel guests during breakfast, lunch and dinner service as well as competent advice on food and beverage selection
- Preparation and supervision of coffee breaks as well as setting up and attending buffets (breakfast, seminar breaks, aperitifs)
- Mise en place tasks for all service areas
- Ensuring a smooth service process while adhering to quality standards as well as cleaning tasks according to hygiene and cleanliness guidelines (HACCP)
- Assistance with banquets and events (especially weddings) on weekends
What you bring with you
- Passion for the service profession as well as guest- and service-oriented work with an eye for detail
- Structured, independent and reliable working style combined with teamwork skills
- Flexible, willing to work, responsible as well as open-minded and motivated personality with joy in guest contact
- Good German and English skills, additional languages advantageous, as well as a valid category B driving licence (advantageous for commuting)
- Completed training in gastronomy as well as professional experience in gastronomy, banquet or conference service or similar position advantageous

Your place of work
The Hotel Schloss Gerzensee, owned by the Swiss National Bank Foundation, offers 57 modern rooms with bath/WC, TV stereo system, direct dial telephone, free Wi-Fi as well as balcony or seating area. For seminars and events, various rooms of different sizes for up to 180 people are available. The gastronomic area includes a guest restaurant, the orangery and a vaulted cellar bar. The estate includes the castle park and the Gerzensee lake, inviting guests to linger.
You will work in a 7-day operation, depending on the duty roster. Whenever possible, we avoid split shifts. You will be available flexibly in the evenings and at weekends.

The Hotel Schloss Gerzensee (BE) is located on the beautiful Gerzensee, nestled in unique nature. 57 modern equipped rooms with beautiful views as well as 17 different event and seminar rooms in the castle and the castle estate are available to our guests. The gastronomic area includes a restaurant, an orangery and a vaulted cellar bar. The hotel also includes a spacious castle garden and a boathouse directly on the hotel-owned Gerzensee lake.
