As a successful Basel clinic with a private character, the Bethesda Hospital combines top-class medicine with first-class service and a unique feel-good atmosphere. With the five focus areas of women's medicine, pregnancy & childbirth, musculoskeletal system and rehabilitation, as well as palliative care, our 6,000 inpatients annually benefit from state-of-the-art treatment centres under one roof – right in one of the most beautiful hospital parks in north-west Switzerland.
In our Clinic for Women's Medicine, around 1,800 births and 2,200 gynaecological procedures are performed annually by doctors employed at Bethesda Hospital and visiting specialists. The Clinic for Women's Medicine is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
From now or by arrangement, we are looking to strengthen our team with a Senior Consultant / Consultant (60 - 100%).
Your tasks
- Independent conduct of outpatient consultations in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology
- Independent conduct of specialised consultations, especially in urogynaecology
- Management of births, especially high-risk births from the 35th week of pregnancy
- Performing operations across the full spectrum of gynaecological and standard obstetric surgeries as well as emergency surgeries
- Pre- and postoperative care of patients
- Training of assistant doctors
- Provision of night, weekend and emergency services
You bring with you
- Completed medical studies including MEBEKO recognition
- Completed or advanced specialist training
- German language skills at least at level C1
- High social competence and ability to work in a team
