Your field of activity

• In this role, you work as Chief Physician in the DKG-certified Breast Centre of the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital (LUKS) and are responsible for the conservative and operative care of senological patients.
• The Breast Centre is organised across locations on an outpatient and inpatient basis in Lucerne and Sursee and with over 300 primary cases per year is the largest breast centre in Central Switzerland. You work in a highly specialised, interdisciplinary setting and actively contribute to the further development of the centre.
• As a member of the medical management of the Women’s Clinic LUKS Lucerne-Sursee, you help shape the senological orientation of the clinic across locations.
• The Women’s Clinic of LUKS Lucerne covers the entire spectrum of gynaecology and obstetrics (around 2,000 births per year). Furthermore, the Women’s Clinic offers all gynaecological and obstetric specialities (Perinatal Centre Level III, Gynaecological Oncology / HSM, Urogynaecology, Senology, Gyn. Endocrinology / Reproductive Medicine).
• Within the existing interdisciplinary network within the LUKS Group as well as with our attending physicians and partner organisations in the Lucerne and Sursee catchment area, you maintain a partnership-based contact.
• A central concern of your work is the training and further education of assistant and senior physicians, especially in the field of senology. The Women’s Clinic Lucerne is a recognised training centre Category A, Sursee Category B for the specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics.

Your experience

• Proven experience in gynaecological senology, ideally with a specialisation title in gynaecological senology.
• Recognition as a breast or senior surgeon according to DKG criteria or fulfilment of the operative requirements.
• Experience in oncological, oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery.
• Leadership experience as Chief Physician or willingness for the next career step.
• Interest in process optimisation and cross-location projects.
• Fulfilment of the requirements for a practice permit in employment in the canton of Lucerne.
• You are committed to process optimisation and cross-location projects.
• You are a team player, open to change and new challenges and actively help shape the Sursee location as a member of the medical management.
