ICT Technical Architect / ICT System Engineer, 90-100%
Your tasks – our position
Planning & Engineering (Build)
- Anticipation and rigorous planning of infrastructure developments, essential to prevent any blockage of business activities and to eliminate any risk to patient care safety.
- Conceptualisation and definition of the target architecture for virtualisation, storage, backup, Windows and Linux infrastructures.
- Development of transition and migration plans for infrastructure evolution.
- Drafting technical specifications and managing tenders (supplier offer comparison, recommendations).
- Evaluation and introduction of new technologies and infrastructure components.
- Participation in Cyber Security meetings as a technical expert, responsible for the practical implementation of recommendations on site.
- Management and coordination of technical infrastructure and virtualisation projects, from design to production deployment.
Operation & continuous improvement (Run)
- Supervision and management of data centres and central infrastructures.
- Operation and continuous improvement of server and virtualisation solutions (Windows, Linux, VMware vSphere Suite, vCenter, ESXi).
- Management and administration of On-Prem and Cloud backup solutions (VEEAM Backup Suite, Veeam for O365).
- Conceptualisation and management of storage solutions (Cisco, Pure Storage, DELL, EMC).
- Coordination with the network team for integrating requirements into server and virtualisation infrastructures.
- Analysis and sustainable resolution of incidents (level 2 and 3).
- Coordination and implementation of measures in case of incidents or problems.
- Participation in on-call duties according to the schedule.
Documentation & quality
- Definition and maintenance of documentation standards for infrastructures and projects.
- Knowledge transfer and training of team members.
- Writing and maintaining detailed infrastructure documentation in French or German.
- Writing and maintaining technical documentation in English.
- Practical application of Cyber Security recommendations, taking into account technical and operational realities.
Your skills – our expectations
- Higher or university education in computer science or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in ICT system or platform architecture, ideally in a hospital environment.
- Mastery of virtualisation technologies (VMware vSphere Suite, vCenter, ESXi), storage and backup solutions (Veeam, Cisco, Pure Storage, DELL/EMC).
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure project management, including tender management and development of transition plans.
- Proven experience in IT process automation via PowerShell.
- Analytical mind, structured and global vision.
- Rigor, reliability and sense of responsibility.
- Autonomy while remaining service- and collaboration-oriented.
- Technical leadership, ability to define a vision and drive change.
- Native language: German or French, with good knowledge of the other language.
- Intermediate knowledge of technical English.
