Role:
In this role, you take responsibility for the stable and secure operation of network and server systems. You plan, install, and configure network components as well as system landscapes and ensure their ongoing optimisation. You analyse faults, implement efficient solutions, and ensure high availability of the entire infrastructure. In addition, you manage central security and monitoring solutions, actively contributing to the protection of the systems. Through your professional documentation and close collaboration with internal interfaces, you ensure smooth operation and continuous development of the IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- You operate server and platform environments (Windows, virtualisation, backup, Intune/endpoint management) including cloud integration.
- In this role, you maintain and optimise network and security components such as LAN/WLAN/VPN, firewall rulesets, as well as IT/OT separation and hardening.
- You plan and accompany the migration to Fortinet solutions including policy cleanup.
- As a network and system administration specialist, you create and update technical documentation (HLD/LLD, runbooks) as well as the asset inventory/CMDB.
- You support compliance with and further development of security and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, NIS2, and ISG.
- In this role, you implement the corporate IT policy and work closely with corporate IT and external IT service providers.
Qualifications:
- Completed IT training (EFZ, HF or FH) as well as 3-6 years of experience in operating server, network, and security environments
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory as well as very good network skills (VLAN, routing, WLAN, VPN) including firewall experience
- Practical experience with Intune and modern endpoint management as well as good knowledge of M365 and Teams telephony
- Confident handling of documentation and processes (change and incident management) as well as solid security basics (EDR/M365 Defender, patch and backup standards)
- Ideally additional qualifications such as Fortinet NSE, CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP or Microsoft certificates and experience in industrial environments
- Very good German at C1 level and confident English at B2 level
