Job Description
At the head of EVAM, you lead a major public institution at the heart of Vaud's policy on reception, accommodation, support and integration of migrants. In a demanding context marked by evolving migratory flows and a significant increase in its reception capacity, you define and steer the strategic directions of the establishment and lead the necessary developments for its growth. Through your leadership, you unite and develop the management teams and build trusting relationships with authorities and institutional partners in the service of the public interest.
Responsibilities
- Define and carry the establishment's strategy in line with the orientations of the State Council and the applicable legal framework.
- Ensure the overall governance of the institution, its financial sustainability, risk management, as well as the efficient and responsible use of public resources.
- Lead the Management Board and drive the organisational, digital and cultural transformations necessary for the development of the establishment.
- Guarantee the continuous improvement of reception, accommodation, support and integration services, adapted to needs and in accordance with the institution's missions.
- Oversee the implementation of the establishment's property strategy to ensure, in the long term, reception capacities adapted to evolving needs.
- Represent EVAM to authorities and partners, develop trusting relationships with stakeholders and ensure credible and coherent institutional communication.

Qualifications
- Tertiary level education equivalent to a master’s degree in law, economics or public administration.
- Additional training in management.
- Proven experience leading a large-scale organisation subject to high governance standards.
- Demonstrated achievements in strategic management, change management and implementation of organisational transformations.
- Strong financial management skills and ability to lead an institution operating in a particularly exposed institutional and political environment.
- Knowledge of political issues related to migration and asylum, as well as property, social and integration challenges specific to the field.
- Global and strategic vision, excellent analytical, synthesis and writing skills, strong decision-making ability, sense of responsibility and public service ethics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, recognised leadership, developed political acumen, strong sense of cross-functional collaboration and excellent communication, negotiation and representation skills.
- Fluency in French as well as very good knowledge of German and English.
