About the job
As a centre of expertise, the BPA aims to reduce the number of serious accidents in Switzerland through research and advice. It is active in road traffic, housing, leisure and sport. As head of the Housing and Sport Division, you will contribute to accident prevention in two essential areas of daily life and, as a member of the management team, you will actively help shape the future of the BPA.
Following the retirement of the current postholder, we are looking for a successor, with a starting date of 1 January or by agreement.
Your tasks
- You will assume professional, personal, organisational and financial leadership of the Housing and Sport Division.
- You will ensure the accuracy of analyses and key messages on major accident prevention issues.
- You will ensure that advisory activities comply with the priority areas of the multi-year programme and the corresponding annual objectives.
- You will represent the interests of the BPA in the fields of housing and sport with key stakeholders, the media and national and international working groups.
- You will lead large-scale projects, take responsibility for the content of major events and have an extensive partner network in your areas of expertise.
- As a member of the management team, you will participate in developing the BPA’s strategy and long-term planning and advise the director on political and strategic matters.
Your profile
- University education in natural sciences, engineering or a similar field
- A person with a strategic mind, a strong sense of prevention, general scientific knowledge and great confidence in politics and communication
- Excellent conceptual and writing skills, communication skills
- Flexibility, resilience and assertiveness
- Native French or German speaker with very good knowledge of the other language, as well as very good knowledge of English
