Do you want to actively shape the future of Green?
Shape one of the largest datacentre projects in Switzerland.
As the overall project manager for Birr Site, you take full responsibility for the planning, control, and successful implementation of our major project in Birr. You bring together several sub-projects towards a common goal, ensure professional project governance, and act as the central contact person for management, stakeholders, and project teams.
In this key role, you ensure that deadlines, costs, quality, and risks are transparently managed at all times and that the overall project is successfully realised.
Your area of responsibility
- Overall responsibility for managing the entire Birr Site project across all plots and sub-projects
- Ensuring achievement of objectives regarding costs, deadlines, quality, permits, as well as risk and stakeholder management
- Technical leadership and coordination of the project managers of the individual plots (Plot 1, Plot 2, as well as Plot 3+4)
- Management of all interfaces between project development, engineering, construction, procurement, finance, operations, and external partners
- Establishment and further development of a uniform project governance including decision-making processes and reporting
- Preparation of well-founded decision-making bases for executive management, CEO, board of directors, and owners
- Monitoring of the overall schedule as well as dependencies and critical milestones across all sub-projects
- Active management of project risks, escalations, and goal conflicts
- Ensuring transparent and consistent communication towards management, authorities, partners, and internal stakeholders
Your skills
- Completed studies in civil engineering, architecture, project management, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in managing complex major projects, ideally in the datacentre, industrial, infrastructure, or building construction sectors
- Experience in leading interdisciplinary project teams as well as in matrix organisations
Strong knowledge in project, cost, schedule, and risk management - High decision-making and assertiveness skills as well as strong communication and negotiation competence
- Experience in dealing with management and executive stakeholders
- Structured, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented working style
- Very good German and English skills
- You keep an overview even in complex project situations.
- You think entrepreneurially and act pragmatically.
- You reconcile different interests and lead projects successfully towards their goals.
- You create transparency, set priorities, and make well-founded decisions.
