Battery storage systems are an important component for a flexible and efficient energy system. In this role, you will accompany BESS projects from the initial idea through technical and economic assessment to concrete implementation. You will work on projects for external customers as well as for Primeo, connecting technology, project management, and economic viability.

This position is also suitable for career starters with a relevant technical degree. For us, the decisive factor is less the number of years of professional experience and more your enthusiasm to take responsibility and actually bring projects to fruition.

What tasks await you?

• You lead and coordinate projects related to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) – from preliminary investigations and feasibility studies through planning and procurement to realisation.
• You assess potential BESS projects from a technical and economic perspective and prepare feasibility studies, variant comparisons, and business cases.
• You take on tasks in client representation and coordinate internal specialist departments, planners, suppliers, plant constructors, and other external partners.
• You ensure that concepts become concrete plants while keeping an eye on deadlines, costs, quality, and project risks.
• You develop customer-specific BESS and flexibility solutions together with internal and external partners, thinking beyond the individual plant.
• You contribute to the further development of our products, services, and processes in the BESS third-party business.
• You support tenders, procurement, and supplier management and bring your insights from projects into the further development of the specialist area.
• You increasingly act as an interface between customers, asset management, and the various BESS specialist disciplines within Primeo.

What do we expect from you?

• Completed Master’s degree (FH/University) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Interest in battery storage, energy systems, grids, and the energy transition, as well as the willingness to quickly familiarise yourself technically with BESS.
• Ideally, some initial experience in implementing technical projects or plant construction, for example from factory and industrial internships or early professional years.
• You understand what it takes to bring a technical plant from planning to realisation and are confident in coordinating the involved specialists and partners.
• Technical understanding combined with good business acumen: you are interested in investments, costs, economic viability, and business cases as much as in the technical solution.
• A strong implementation orientation: you do not just analyse and design but want to see how an idea becomes a functioning project.
• Enjoyment in customer contact and a good understanding that in third-party business we act as a service provider and consistently align solutions with customer benefit.
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form, additional national languages are an advantage.
• Independent and structured working style as well as enjoyment in bringing together different specialist disciplines.
