What is my role?

• Planning and execution of new construction, maintenance and repair works of the municipal road infrastructure

• Management of studies and infrastructure projects in the role of client and senior construction management

• Coordination and interface management between the city and third parties such as transport companies, network operators and authorities

• Realisation and implementation of neighbourhood plans

• Drafting well-founded political proposals and decision-making bases

• Professional handling of road police permits

• Active participation in budgeting as well as task and financial planning

• Opportunity to deputise for the civil engineering management with corresponding responsibility

What do I need to be successful?

• A completed civil engineering degree FH/ETH or a comparable qualification

• Several years of leadership experience in a comparable position

• Sound knowledge of planning and approval procedures in civil engineering

• Enthusiasm for the diverse range of tasks between strategy development, project management and operations management

• Strong communication skills as well as assertiveness and cooperation skills

• Very good command of the German language, both spoken and written

• Interest in the future challenges of civil engineering such as climate adaptation and sustainable mobility
