Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced specialist to lead demanding projects in hydraulic engineering and flood protection. You will take on the client representation and manage projects from planning through tendering to realisation. In doing so, you coordinate internal departments, specialist planners, authorities, and contractors and ensure economical and timely implementation. The position combines hydraulic engineering, project management, and public infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Management of hydraulic engineering projects with a focus on flood protection and watercourse construction
Assuming the client representation for demanding infrastructure projects
Controlling costs, schedules, quality, and project risks
Coordinating engineering offices, specialist planners, contractors, and authorities
Planning and realisation of flood protection, revitalisation, and watercourse projects
Supporting tendering, submissions, awards, and construction acceptance
Preparing project documents, technical reports, and decision-making bases
Monitoring construction execution and coordinating various project participants
Independent handling of smaller hydraulic engineering and infrastructure projects
Further development of project management and planning processes
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a civil engineer FH, environmental engineer FH, technician HF or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in hydraulic engineering, civil engineering or infrastructure planning
Sound knowledge in flood protection, watercourse construction and watercourse revitalisation
Experience in project management, client representation and project coordination
Knowledge of SIA standards, public procurement and Swiss construction processes
Very good German language skills spoken and written
