The SSR Operations sector is responsible for the central strategic management of technological orientation and SSR production. The F4 gender manager ensures the operational and qualitative implementation of the offers of one or more genres, under the operational direction of the Operations Business Partner.
The Gender Manager «National Information Offer» is the central contact point between the Operations sector and the Information genre managers in the regions: they plan the nationally scoped information offers together with the regions and ensure efficient production. They have an overview of the entire portfolio of offers – including that of the Federal Palace Media Centre Studio – whose management is ensured by the local operational production managers.

Gender Manager «National Information Offer» Operations 80 – 100%, free choice of workplace – however, work is mainly carried out in Bern, with frequent trips to the regions.
Tasks
Within the Operations Business Partner team, the focus is on the following areas:
- Joint planning of nationally scoped information offers with the Information genre managers in the regions: needs, resources and production means are brought together into a unified framework across the language regions (audio, video, digital)
- Development and maintenance of relationships with Business Partners and genre managers in the regions, ensuring regular presence on site. An induction period is planned, involving regular stays in the regions, lasting from a few days to a week
- Anticipation of production needs – from major events, elections and votes to extraordinary situations – and timely identification of adjustments to be made to the offer portfolio
- Cross-functional management of services and coordinated production processes; daily management is the responsibility of the operational production managers, who are supported towards autonomy on a specialist level
- Responsibility for the efficient use of resources within the defined budget as well as achieving the established efficiency objectives. All this in compliance with performance, production, safety and quality standards, together with the People Pool, PMM (Production Means Management) and Operations Management
- Promotion of a culture open to feedback and dialogue, supported by shared KPI monitoring as a basis for collaboration and management with the regions.
Requirements
- Team spirit and several years of practical experience in producing audiovisual offers
- Professional level German and French. Essential condition: one of the two languages is the mother tongue, the other must be mastered at least at B2 level. Knowledge of Italian and/or Romansh is a significant advantage
- Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships beyond organisational and linguistic boundaries, great willingness to travel as well as a leadership concept that also works remotely
- Entrepreneurial spirit, combined with the ability to grasp the big picture and act creatively, tenaciously and pragmatically
- Excellent ability to manage pressure situations and flexibility in working hours, including weekends.
- Excellent communication skills, strong affinity with media-related technologies, negotiation skills and a pronounced ability to prioritise
