Mandated by a watchmaking manufacturer based in Geneva, we are looking for:
Operations Manager
Reporting to the Management, you are responsible for the operational performance of the entire T2-T3 department.
A true conductor of production flows, you oversee planning, procurement, logistics, stock management and after-sales service with a focus on operational excellence, meeting deadlines and continuous improvement.
Leading a team of 15 employees, you support skills development, encourage collaboration between different departments and actively contribute to achieving the industrial objectives of the manufacturer.
Job Description
Management and Organisation
• Supervise, motivate and develop a team of around 15 employees.
• Define operational priorities and ensure the smooth running of the department.
• Support teams in achieving quality, cost and deadline objectives.
• Establish a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
Planning and Production
• Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Ensure planning and scheduling of T2 and T3 workshops.
• Guarantee load/capacity balance and anticipate risks of disruption.
• Monitor production progress and implement necessary corrective actions.
Procurement and Supply Chain
• Oversee all procurement necessary to meet the production plan.
• Optimise internal and external supply flows.
• Coordinate interactions with suppliers and strategic partners.
• Ensure component availability while controlling stock levels.
Logistics and Stock Management
• Manage logistics activities and stock movements.
• Ensure stock data reliability and inventory performance.
• Optimise physical and IT flows to improve productivity.
• Reduce work-in-progress and secure delivery times.
Operational Excellence
• Develop and manage performance indicators (KPIs).
• Identify improvement areas and lead optimisation projects.
• Contribute to the evolution and enhancement of ERP processes.
• Actively participate in the transformation and digitalisation of operations.
After-Sales Service
• Supervise after-sales activities.
• Ensure service quality and compliance with customer commitments.
• Optimise processing flows and intervention times.
Profile Sought
Your Profile
• Higher education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Production Management or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a similar role in watchmaking is essential.
• Strong command of MPS, planning, scheduling and flow management.
• Successful experience in managing operational teams.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems and data analysis tools.
• Mastery of performance indicators and Lean / continuous improvement approaches.
