Why do we need you?
As part of a new dynamic within our Nursing Directorate, we are seeking our future Operating Theatre Manager following the departure of the current post holder.
A key player in the operation of the operating theatre, you will be at the heart of organising activities and supporting teams. Your expertise in surgical instrumentation and your ability to unite will directly contribute to the quality, safety and performance of our activity, in an environment where collaboration and the patient are central.
What will you be responsible for?
- Manage the activity of the operating theatres and ensure a smooth and efficient organisation of the surgical schedule
- Coordinate medical, nursing teams and various partner services to ensure continuity and quality of activities
- Unite and support a multidisciplinary team (approximately 42 FTE) by promoting collaboration, skills development and a climate of trust
- Supervise the application of best practices and instrumentation protocols specific to interventions, in collaboration with doctors
- Develop a relationship of trust with surgeons, anaesthetists and various theatre partners
- Ensure quality and safety of care, as well as compliance with hygiene, asepsis, traceability and safety protocols
- Ensure availability and compliance of medical devices, equipment and resources necessary for interventions, in collaboration with relevant services
- Analyse performance indicators and implement necessary actions for continuous improvement of activities
- Contribute to institutional projects and the development of surgical activity
- Manage resources and budget of your sector in line with the Institution’s objectives and cost control strategy

The operating theatre brings together a multidisciplinary team of about 60 professionals (Instrument technicians, ATSSO, theatre assistants, equipment managers, housekeeping staff). Together, we form a united and versatile group committed to collaborating to provide safe quality care and a harmonious working environment.
What do we expect from you?
Essential requirements:
- Hold a diploma as an operating theatre nurse or operating theatre technician, complemented by higher management training or equivalent
- Have at least 5 years of specialised practice, including 2 years in a managerial role
- Demonstrate strong skills in organisation, planning and coordination of activities
- Be able to unite multidisciplinary teams around common goals by fostering trust and responsibility
- Possess excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills with diverse interlocutors
- Have good analytical, initiative and decision-making abilities
- Be proficient with common IT and management tools
