Project Manager Building Construction GU/TU (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the project and construction management of demanding GU-/TU building construction projects. You will take overall responsibility for construction projects from planning through to realisation and successful handover, representing the interests of the client. The focus is on cost, schedule and quality management, construction execution, as well as coordination of specialist planners, authorities and companies. The position combines strategic project control with operational construction management and offers comprehensive responsibility within diverse building construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project and construction management of GU-/TU building construction projects across various planning and realisation phases

• Representation of the client towards planners, companies, authorities and other project participants

• Responsibility for controlling and monitoring costs, schedules, quality and project objectives

• Coordination and leadership of architects, specialist planners, contractors and suppliers

• Planning and control of construction processes, project milestones and execution dates

• Support of tendering, awarding and contract processes for planner and contractor services

• Conducting construction meetings and project discussions as well as leading and tracking pending issues and decisions

• Supervision of construction execution on site and ensuring professional and contractual compliance

• Responsibility for cost control, change order management, measurement and invoice verification

• Coordination of acceptances, commissioning and defect rectifications up to turnkey handover

• Ensuring project execution in accordance with relevant SIA standards, Swiss construction regulations and contracts

• Preparation and maintenance of project status reports, cost overviews, schedules and project documentation

Qualifications:

• Technical construction education as certified construction manager, certified technician HF or degree in architecture or civil engineering FH/ETH

• Several years of professional experience in project and construction management of building construction projects, ideally in the GU-/TU environment

• Sound knowledge in cost, schedule and quality management, tendering, awarding and change order management

• Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, Swiss construction processes and contract basics

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
