Mental Health Nurse Specialist (80-100%)
Your mission
As a mental health nurse specialist, you take on the role of case manager. You perform and delegate quality services to ensure the health, safety and well-being of clients at home, identifying their social issues. At their place of residence, you define with them the most appropriate solutions to their situation, thus developing a privileged relationship of trust.

Your responsibilities
- Assume responsibility as case manager for clients presenting mental health and/or psychogeriatric disorders
- Assess and implement services according to the needs of the client and their entourage and provide the services planned in the intervention plan, conducting evaluation, orientation, counselling interviews as well as support in administrative and financial procedures
- Provide delegated medical care, hygiene and comfort services as well as support to our clients
- Support auxiliary staff to ensure the quality of services
- Create and maintain lasting links with partners in the regional medico-social network (including volunteers and user groups)
- Mobilise the multidisciplinary skills of the CMS care team, while raising awareness of the issues posed by psychiatric or psycho-geriatric care and proposing preventive measures
- Document the client’s electronic file according to institutional guidelines to ensure continuity of care
Your profile and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing HES or equivalent qualification (i.e. foreign qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross), with specialisation in mental health
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in psychiatric care
- Good knowledge of the Swiss socio-health sector (first job in Switzerland)
- Analytical and synthesis skills
- Good command of the French language with strong writing skills
- Organisational skills, ability to manage priorities and take initiative
- Good knowledge of common IT tools
- Ability to communicate and negotiate
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
We offer
- Mainly daytime hours (7:30 am–5:00 pm), with only one evening worked every two weeks until 10:00 pm and one weekend worked every eight weeks.
- Working and remuneration conditions according to the collective labour agreement of the Vaud parapublic health sector.
