Head of Mechanical Development 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

• Technical and personnel management of the mechanical development team with a focus on targeted promotion and further development of team members

• Responsibility for strategic capacity planning, efficient resource allocation as well as prioritisation and timely realisation of all development tasks

• Function as a technical expert for CNC machining centres and active participation in the establishment of a company-wide competence centre

• Project management of complex development projects in the mechanical field with active hands-on involvement while adhering to time, quality, cost and communication requirements

• Conceptualisation and development of forward-looking mechanical solutions in compliance with applicable standards and technical norms

• Intensive interface work with the departments of hardware and software development, production and customer service

• Identification, coordination and support of external development partners as well as technical service providers

• Continuous optimisation and implementation of suitable tools for development processes, project management and capacity planning

• Technical support for production and customer service in technical challenges, commissioning and service assignments

What do I need to be successful?

• Successfully completed engineering degree FH/ETH in mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical qualification

• Extensive professional experience in the development of machines and systems, ideally in the field of CNC machining technologies

• Proven leadership skills as well as comprehensive project experience in development and R&D

• Systematic, goal-oriented and independent working style combined with a strong quality awareness

• Entrepreneurial mindset as well as strong organisational and communication skills

• Fluent German and English skills in spoken and written form at negotiation level
