Your Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibility
Research & Teaching
- Responsibility for outpatient and inpatient care of adults with congenital heart defects (ACHD/EMAH)
- Comprehensive clinical cardiological work with a personal professional focus, for example in cardiovascular imaging, interventional cardiology, or other ACHD/EMAH-related special fields such as aortopathies or high-risk pregnancies
- Close interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration within the university environment
Research & Teaching
- Training, supervision, and support of assistant physicians and fellows in the ACHD/EMAH department
- Active engagement in clinical and/or translational research
- Development and maintenance of scientific collaborations as well as successful acquisition of third-party funding
Your Profile
- Specialist title in Cardiology (FMH) or an equivalent European recognition
- MEBEKO recognition for foreign diplomas
- Doctorate (Dr. med.) and an additional academic qualification, such as habilitation, PhD, MBA, or qualification as a Clinical Lecturer
- Several years of clinical experience at a certified ACHD/EMAH centre
- Additional specialisation or fellowship in the ACHD/EMAH field
- Proven expertise in congenital echocardiography and/or other specialised ACHD/EMAH areas
- Strong social skills, leadership experience, and interest in the academic development of the specialty
- Very good German language skills at C1 level or higher, both spoken and written
