Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a versatile Architect / Project Manager in Building Construction for the comprehensive handling of refurbishment, renovation and new build projects. You will accompany projects through all relevant SIA phases, combining planning, construction supervision and project coordination. A special focus is on office fit-outs, building envelope renovations and existing buildings as well as technically and economically feasible detailed solutions. Depending on experience, you will take on project management and coordinate site management, specialist planners, contractors and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive handling of refurbishment, renovation and new build projects from preliminary design to handover

• Taking on project management for small and medium-sized building construction projects

• Handling project phases according to the SIA service model from planning to realisation

• Creation and further development of project, execution and detailed plans

• Development of technically, aesthetically and economically convincing construction and detailed solutions

• Planning and coordination of office fit-outs, building envelope renovations and work on existing buildings

• Coordination of specialist planners, site managers, contractors and other project participants

• Alignment of planning with clients, property management and authorities

• Ensuring project goals regarding quality, costs and deadlines

• Support with tendering, awarding and construction administration

• Accompanying and controlling the planning specifications during construction execution

• Maintaining project, plan and decision documentation and ensuring a structured flow of information

Qualifications:

• Education as Architect FH/ETH or comparable higher education in architecture

• Entry-level candidates with suitable education as well as professionals with experience in Swiss building construction planning are invited to apply

• Knowledge of SIA phases, Swiss construction processes and building law basics

• Good knowledge in execution and detailed planning, ideally in refurbishments and renovations

• CAD skills in AutoCAD and experience with SketchUp are advantageous

• Knowledge of Messerli or comparable construction administration software is advantageous

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
