Our client is seeking a Planning Leader to drive project planning activities for different projects. In this role, you will ensure schedule alignment, stakeholder coordination, and risk mitigation to secure timely and successful project delivery.

Description
- Lead all planning functions for the project to ensure timely execution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including detailed design teams, procurement partners, construction subcontractors, turnaround, and commissioning teams.
- Secure and consolidate project schedule inputs and communicate planning requirements to relevant project resources.
- Provide early warnings and insights to the Project Manager regarding risks, opportunities, and schedule deviations.
- Challenge stakeholders on high?risk or critical path items to maintain realistic and timely deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with major equipment suppliers and construction subcontractors to optimize planning and scheduling performance.
- Manage planning?related claims on behalf of the project.
- Oversee the issuance and consolidation of supplier/subcontractor schedule feedback and ensure updates to internal databases.
- Report planning progress to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and structured communication.
- Establish interfaces and foster alignment with key project stakeholders.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct in all planning activities.
- Monitor, report, and present project performance indicators and scheduling metrics to leadership and the client.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in planning management within the energy, oil & gas, renewable, or similar industries.
- Strong procurement exposure on major projects (>USD 20M).
- Proficient in MS Project and Primavera P6.
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in international contracting and negotiation.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with project controls; cost control experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and relationship?building skills.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem?solving abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and professional ethics.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
