Job Description
Are you passionate about vocational training and networking?
This project manager position offers you the opportunity to actively contribute to the promotion of vocational training and to collaborate with stakeholders from compulsory schooling, post-compulsory education, and professional environments.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of a Deputy General Director of the DGEO, initiate, structure, lead, coordinate and ensure follow-up until the implementation of strategic projects promoting vocational training for all compulsory education (CE) students.
- Ensure coordination of all projects involving the DGEO.
- Actively participate in the VALFORPRO commission as well as any event related to the promotion of vocational training.
- Propose a distribution of funding and budgets and ensure their monitoring.

Qualifications
- University master’s degree in a field relevant to the desired role.
- Experience in research and expertise on educational issues preferred.
- 8 years of significant professional experience in vocational and continuing education.
- 5 years of project management experience.
- High knowledge of the Swiss initial vocational training system.
- High knowledge of the compulsory education system of the canton of Vaud.
- Sense of responsibility and public service ethics, adaptability and flexibility, listening and communication skills.
- Global vision and sense of perspective, stress management skills, customer orientation, spirit of mutual aid and collaboration.

The General Directorate of Compulsory Education and Specialised Pedagogy (DGEO) ensures schooling for children aged 4 to 15 and specialised pedagogy services for young people aged 0 to 20. Our mission is to offer them the best opportunities for development, integration and learning.
Our teams bring together professionals in pedagogy, psychology, psychomotricity and speech therapy in the school environment, as well as human resources, school system organisation, administration, information systems and finance.
