Role:
On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced BIM Manager: Architecture to manage and further develop model-based planning processes in demanding building projects. You combine solid experience in Swiss execution planning with comprehensive expertise in openBIM, IFC, Archicad, and data management. You define and monitor BIM processes, coordinate models and information requirements, and support project teams in the efficient application of digital planning methods. Another focus is on conveying BIM standards and continuously optimising digital project execution.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for BIM management of demanding architecture and building projects across relevant planning phases
Definition, introduction, and further development of project-specific BIM processes, standards, and modelling guidelines
Creation, maintenance, and implementation of BAP (BIM execution plans) as well as project-specific information requirements
Management of LOD/LOI, IFC, data drops, and information deliveries within the project organisation
Coordination and quality assurance of Archicad and openBIM models as well as checking model and data quality
Conducting and organising clash detection, model reviews, and issue management
Management of model-based collaboration via BIMcollab and other project-related collaboration platforms
Coordination of digital interfaces between architecture, specialist planning, and execution planning
Ensuring a structured IFC-based data handover and consistent information structure
Development of practical BIM workflows for Swiss execution planning, coordination, and as-planned documentation
Professional support and guidance of project teams on complex BIM, modelling, and data management topics
Further development of internal BIM standards, templates, quality checks, and digital planning processes
Qualifications:
Completed studies as Architect FH/ETH/University as well as further training or qualification in BIM management
Several years of professional experience with BIM and Swiss execution planning
Very good knowledge of Archicad 3D and model-based architectural planning
Sound knowledge of openBIM, BAP, LOD/LOI, IFC, clash detection, and issue management
Practical experience with BIMcollab, data drops, GKO, and model-based data management
Comprehensive knowledge of Swiss planning processes and relevant SIA standards
Fluent German skills as well as a good understanding of Swiss German
