About the job
For our client, a technically specialised company with demanding automation and engineering projects, we are looking for an experienced individual as a Senior Mechanical Engineer FH. You will develop mechanical solutions for automated systems, maintain existing designs, and oversee technical adjustments throughout the entire lifecycle of the equipment. In doing so, you will work closely with internal specialists, customers, and external partners.
- Creation, maintenance, and further development of 2D drawings, 3D models, parts lists, and technical documentation with a focus on a clean and comprehensible data basis
- Management of spare parts for existing equipment including identification of components, technical clarifications, and development of suitable replacement or successor solutions
- Planning and technical elaboration of conversions, modernisations, and optimisations on existing machines and automation systems
- Technical support during assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as well as collaboration with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
- Support with technical clarifications, tenders, and projects as well as coordination of mechanical matters with external partners
- Several years of professional experience in mechanical design, ideally in mechanical engineering, special machine construction, or industrial automation environment
- Solid knowledge of CAD systems such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Catia, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and openness to new challenges
- Very good German and English skills, additional language skills are an advantage

Profile
- Training as a draftsman or polymechanic EFZ with further education as a mechanical engineer FH or mechanical technician HF- Several years of professional experience in mechanical design, ideally in mechanical engineering, special machine construction, or industrial automation environment

- Excellent communication skills and openness to new challenges
