Head Chef Banquets & Events (m/f) 100% Schloss Bottmingen - Basel

The Schloss Bottmingen restaurant was built in the second half of the 13th century and was first mentioned in documents in 1363. It is the only preserved water castle in the Leimental and is located in a dreamlike English park on the outskirts of Basel. The extraordinary historic complex is under federal and cantonal monument protection. The romantic and stylish rooms are especially popular for weddings and festive occasions of all kinds (up to 145 people). Furthermore, six tastefully furnished historic halls are available for 8 to 40 people. In summer, guests enjoy the romantic atmosphere on the garden terrace directly by the pond.

Today, the Schloss Bottmingen restaurant is a gastronomic establishment of high culinary quality. The Brasserie du Chateau and Gourmet Louis serve creations of classic French cuisine as well as creative dishes depending on the season.

Your tasks

Weddings, corporate events, family celebrations and numerous events are part of our daily routine at the Weiherschloss Bottmingen – and each one should be something special for our guests.

For this, we are looking for a Head Chef Banquets who enjoys organising, thinking ahead and staying calm even when things are really busy at the pass.

You take responsibility for the culinary implementation of our banquets and events – from preparation through to the organisation of the mise en place to the last plate at the event.

In doing so, you work closely with our Brasserie Head Chef, our Executive Chef as well as the event and service team and are actively involved in the daily kitchen operations.

You are someone who not only knows what needs to be done but also ensures that your team knows when and how.

This includes:

• Planning, preparation and operational implementation of our banquets and events
• Organisation of mise en place, production processes and kitchen logistics
• Responsibility at the pass for weddings, corporate events and large-scale events
• Active participation in daily kitchen operations
• Leadership and guidance of staff during production and events
• Ensuring consistently high quality – whether cooking for 20 or 200 guests
• Responsible handling of goods, resources and food costs
• Close coordination with the brasserie, executive chef, service and event team
• Participation in the further development of our banquet offerings and processes

You are a trained cook and have experience in banquets, events or upscale gastronomy.
