Your Tasks
Independently audit multinational companies: You audit and assess the supplementary tax as well as the profit and capital tax of multinational companies with great personal responsibility.
Implementation of the supplementary tax: You develop the assessment practice, processes, and the build-up of expertise in the area of supplementary tax within a small team. In doing so, you follow the dynamic international developments and acquire knowledge independently.
Contact person for OECD minimum taxation: As a specialist for the supplementary tax, you are the point of contact for companies and their representatives, other cantons, and internal offices. Questions for which you cannot find an answer in a book are seen as a challenge.
Entry into the tax world: This position is ideal as an entry into the tax world if you have experience in international accounting and are willing to attend the SSK training courses (https://www.ssk-csi.ch/de/ausbildung/allgemeines).
Your Profile
Experience: You must have solid expertise in international accounting (e.g. IFRS) and/or in the area of tax accounting with several years of practical experience.
Personality: Thanks to your quick comprehension and focus on the essentials, you can assess the accounting and tax implications of complex transactions and are a contact person for internal and external queries.
Education: You have a business or legal education, ideally with advanced professional training such as a certified auditor or certified tax expert.
Language: You have very good written and oral communication skills in German and English.

The Tax Administration of the Canton of Basel-Stadt belongs to the Finance Department and is responsible for the assessment and collection of cantonal tax, direct federal tax, as well as national and international supplementary taxes. It also takes care of the collection of all claims of the canton. The Tax Administration is a modern service provider and competent information centre for the population and companies.
