Project Manager Construction Consulting / Building Control

In the attractive and prosperous municipality of Baar, there is lively planning and construction activity. This results in many interesting construction projects that need to be competently managed.

To complement our Construction Consulting / Building Control department, we are looking for a service-oriented personality as Project Manager Construction Consulting / Building Control from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

What you can achieve

• Independent management and processing of construction enquiries, construction investigations, construction notifications and building applications

• Formal and substantive examination of construction projects based on the legal foundations of planning, building and environmental law

• Advising builders, architectural firms, planners and landowners on building law and procedural matters

• Coordination of approval procedures with internal municipal specialist departments, cantonal authorities and other stakeholders

• Drafting building permits, orders, statements and other decision-making documents

• Support in the further development and digitalisation of the working and approval processes of the Construction Consulting / Building Control department

What you bring with you

• Construction-specific education/training, ideally with a degree from a university of applied sciences or university
  (e.g. architect, construction manager, building inspector, architectural draughtsperson specialising in architecture)

• Several years of professional experience in building permits, building administration or building control is an advantage

• Good knowledge of public planning and building law or willingness to deepen your expertise in this field

• Ability to independently, structurally and solution-orientedly manage complex construction projects and approval procedures

• Fluency in written and spoken expression

• High degree of independence, flexibility, resilience as well as customer-friendly and confident demeanour

• Enjoyment in working with diverse stakeholder groups

• Team spirit and good IT skills
