The basic psychiatric care for adults is provided by the University Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. In addition to basic care, specialised services and a crisis intervention centre are available at the Inselspital site. The services of the Crisis Intervention Centre (KIZ) are aimed at adults who are in a psychosocial crisis, for example after a separation, during a period of mourning, or due to anxiety. Close cooperation with the University Emergency Centre of the Inselspital ensures the best possible treatment for each individual patient.

Your tasks

• You independently assess and treat the full spectrum of acute psychiatric disorders during the night
• You are responsible for diagnosis and therapy planning for acute psychiatric symptoms and illnesses
• You work closely with nursing staff and other professionals from the night team
• You take on the leadership and coordination of medical emergencies and crisis situations
• You ensure patient-centred and holistic treatment
• You can plan up to 6 night shifts in a row. Your work assignments will be coordinated with the team

Your profile

• You have completed specialist training in psychiatry and psychotherapy or are close to completing your training
• You preferably already have professional experience in psychiatric emergency medicine or a similar field
• Your interest lies in psychiatric crisis and emergency treatment and you enjoy interdisciplinary work at the interface between psychiatry and somatics
• Your strengths are high resilience and the ability to work under pressure
• You are an open, structured and independent personality
• You have good German language skills, both spoken and written
