The Centre for Depression, Anxiety Disorders and Psychotherapy (Chief Physician and Centre Director Prof. Dr. med. Sebastian Olbrich) offers an extensive inpatient, outpatient and day clinic therapy programme and comprehensive diagnostic assessment options for people with affective disorders, personality disorders and trauma-related disorders. As a university centre, we use established and innovative therapeutic approaches to continuously improve treatment.
For our ward A2 for acute illnesses with a focus on personality and trauma-related disorders, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to start immediately or by arrangement

Your Tasks
- Leading a medical/psychological team and overall supervision of the treatment of inpatient patients with mental illnesses, including diagnostics, therapy and discharge planning
- Application of targeted treatment concepts within the focus of personality disorders and trauma-related disorders, especially in acute exacerbations
- Supervision of treatment by and supervision of assistant doctors and psychologists
- Participation in teaching and further training of assistant doctors and psychologists
- Further development of the treatment concept of the ward in collaboration with the multiprofessional team and nursing and in coordination with other units focusing on personality disorders and trauma-related disorders in the centre
Your Profile
- Medical licence (mandatory requirements: possession of the Swiss professional recognition MEBEKO = 1. Recognised diploma (no registration) & 2. MEBEKO German entry, both documents must be submitted
- Completed specialist training or completion foreseeable
- Interest in leadership tasks
- Interest in research and teaching
- Interest and prior experience in the field of personality disorders and trauma-related disorders; knowledge of specific therapeutic procedures advantageous
- Interest in innovative treatment concepts including interventional psychiatry (e.g. repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation [rTMS], electroconvulsive therapy [ECT], diagnostics using electroencephalogram [EEG])
- High degree of independence and self-organisation
- German language skills in spoken and written form at level C2
