Are you in the middle of a technical degree and looking for an opportunity to meaningfully apply what you have learned in practice? We are working on the decarbonised and digital energy future around the distribution network of the Canton of Zurich and are looking for reinforcement for 6 months from January 2027 or by arrangement. Our areas of focus are diverse and range from forecasting network utilisation to supporting decisions through data analysis to the digitalisation of processes and customer interactions. A current pilot project is investigating the intelligent control of a battery to maximise the feed-in of renewable energy into the grid. What are you waiting for!? What to expect
- Support of pilot projects in the areas of Smart Grid, local electricity and electromobility
- Further development of solutions in the Smart Energy environment, e.g. controls to optimise self-consumption and peak loads
- Building and implementing data analytics pipelines in the cloud from conception and data cleansing to visualisation
- Evaluation of data from smart meters and one of the largest battery storage systems in Switzerland
What you bring
- You are currently in the middle of a technical university degree such as electrical engineering, control engineering or mechanical engineering
- You have good programming skills in Python
- Energy technology, digitalisation and IT systems are among your interests
- If you have experience with databases and cloud computing, this is an advantage
- Very good oral and written German skills at least at level C1 and good English skills complete your profile
- High independence and entrepreneurial thinking and acting are a matter of course for you
