Responsibilities:
Development of procurement concepts in coordination with strategic purchasing and the responsible category managers.
Monitoring supplier progress based on ongoing production orders and agreed delivery dates.
Coordination of all purchasing activities with project management, engineering, and project controlling.
Preparation of tender documents and development of decision-making bases for supplier selection.
Management of material supply from initial prototypes to final product release.
Analysis of material requirements and implementation of forecasting and cost reduction measures.
Handling of missing parts, SAP exception messages, and purchasing-relevant master data.
Participation in supplier escalations and initiation of appropriate corrective actions in case of deviations.
Qualifications:
Further training in purchasing with a federal certificate or several years of professional experience in industrial procurement.
Solid technical knowledge and understanding of industrial production and procurement processes.
Experience in collaboration with category management and strategic purchasing functions.
Good user knowledge of SAP and confident handling of MS Office.
Strong negotiation skills and a good understanding of economic contexts.
Independent working style with assertiveness and strong communication skills.
Willingness to undertake occasional national and international business trips of around 10%.
Fluent German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
