Job Description
About the Role
To strengthen our plant management team at the Kreuzlingen site, Thurgau, we are currently looking for an Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager reporting directly to our Plant Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for the further development and assurance of our high standards in occupational safety, environmental protection, process and plant safety, as well as health protection in our chemical production environment.
This position is based on-site at the Kreuzlingen location.
Main Responsibilities
Role Model: As an expert in safety and leader of our 2-person EHS team, you inspire everyone about safety and actively promote a "Safety First!" culture.
Comprehensive Safety Management: You develop and shape our areas of occupational safety, environmental protection, energy/waste management, plant/building safety, and process safety sustainably.
Interface with Authorities: You maintain close contact with authorities and advise the plant at all levels on new and changed requirements.
Safe Plant Operation: You develop solutions and measures to ensure the safe operation of our chemical plants, processes, and procedures.
Advancement of Safety Awareness: You design and conduct safety-related training measures for all areas and levels.
Qualifications
Required
Completed Studies & Safety Understanding: Preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Safety Engineering, along with a strong safety understanding.
Professional Experience: Experience as a safety specialist related to occupational and process safety (HAZOP, PHA, PSM) in a chemical production environment.
Legal Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Swiss and European occupational safety laws and regulations, as well as chemical and environmental law and the European Chemicals Regulation (REACH).
Skills You Need for Success
Project Management & Language Skills: Experience in project management, ideally based on Lean / Six Sigma methods (Green Belt or Black Belt), as well as fluent German and English skills.
Personality: You are creative, innovative, entrepreneurial, and eager to build sustainable projects.
