As part of the development of its activities, our client, a Swiss industrial company active in the design and manufacture of special machines with high technological value, wishes to strengthen its team and recruit an Automation Engineer.
Operating in an international environment and working on equipment developed specifically according to the needs of its clients, the company offers the opportunity to join a specialised technical team and participate in complex industrial projects, from the design phase to system validation.
Automation Engineer
YOUR MISSIONS
Within the technical team responsible for automation systems, you will be involved in the following tasks in particular:
- Design and develop the automation systems of the machines.
- Participate in technical feasibility studies.
- Contribute to the drafting of functional specifications and technical requirements.
- Develop and program industrial controllers.
- Define, prepare and carry out functional tests.
- Perform debugging and optimisation of programmes.
- Validate the conformity of programmes with client requirements and applicable standards.
- Ensure traceability and version control of programmes using tools such as Git and SVN.
- Guarantee archiving of programmes and documentation in accordance with quality procedures.
- Participate in the drafting and updating of technical documentation.
- Collaborate actively with the various trades involved in the design and development of machines.
- Participate in the Agile organisation of the team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimising the methods, tools and processes of the department.
YOUR PROFILE
To succeed in this role, you ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Master's degree from a University of Applied Sciences/ETH or equivalent higher education, specialising in automation, control engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the special machines sector.
- Strong skills in industrial automation and controller programming.
- Good knowledge of control electronics and industrial IT.
- Good understanding of multidisciplinary industrial environments.
- Knowledge in one or more complementary fields: electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics or mechanics.
- Experience with testing, validation and commissioning processes of automated systems.
- Experience in an industrial environment subject to high requirements in terms of quality, documentation and traceability is a real advantage.
